Question: What is Wisdom, and where can she be found today?

In Week #1 our conversation pieces will guide us as together we will begin to recognize the lack of wisdom on display all around us, so as to better learn how to respond when Lady Wisdom calls to us.

Question: What is the difference between wisdom and information?

This week our Conversation Pieces will guide us as we begin a paradoxical quest: Seeking to find what God alone can reveal. Along the journey we will be exploring what is wisdom, where can she be found, and why amidst a world drowning in information does the Bible remain our most trusted source of wisdom.

Question: Why does the bible say the “fear of the Lord” is the beginning of wisdom? Do you think our culture is more enamored with novelty or wisdom?

In this weeks Conversation pieces we will explore the Story of the Bible as an ancient source of wisdom, while also asking ourselves why humans tend more towards novelty than wisdom?

We now live in an “Attention Economy” where the wealthiest corporations in history employ the smartest people on earth to compete for your attention. Yet we are invited to give the pursuit of Lady Wisdom and the Word of God priority in our day to day lives.

Question: Where do you normally access the “accumulated wisdom” of humanity?

Question: Do you think the created order or nature itself reveals God’s wisdom?

This weeks Conversation Pieces will guide us to reflect on what it means that “wisdom” is revealed in the “foundations of the earth.” Does everything in creation display God’s wisdom? Many of us can see wisdom behind a beautiful sunset, but what about natural disasters?

Question: Humanity has mined the depths of the earth, and soared into the heavens. Has humanity ever found wisdom?

This weeks Conversation Pieces help us to navigate the reality of wisdom being found in books and nature, yet allusive and too rarely embodied within human society. This is especially true when faced with questions of justice and mercy. Only in Jesus do we discover the wisdom of God on display in the flesh.

As we begin to wind down this conversation series on faith & biblical wisdom we want to create space for you to both offer the CruCon team feedback on your experience, while also spending some time developing a Final Project, based on this series that you can share at the final Community Conversation #3
